Elena is an Italian Circus Actors Teacher and Circus Actress with strong movement skills and a comedy excellence.
She has been working in theatre and circus shows as creator, physical actress, circus artist and clown all over Europe.
In 2014 she became part of the prestigious company Cirque Du Soleil as physical actress/clown and in the same year she won the National Circus Innovation Award with the theatre clown company Le Flop.
She performed as leading comedy character for companies as Lost in translation Circus and Maison Foo. Her work has been presented in Uk, Spain and Italy in major venues like Underbelly SouthBank Centre, Jackson Lane Theatre, London Wonderground, Brighton Fringe festival and Edinburgh Fringe festival. Throughout the years she gained extensive theatre experience in clown, play and mask – that struck a chord with her exuberant personality and love of laughter. She combine acting, movement, clowning and circus to create vibrant characters.
In addition to performing, Elena has taught clown workshops at National Centre for Circus Arts.
She post-graduated with Distinction at National Centre for Circus Arts (London,2014). In the renowned circus school she developed a strong tight-wire technique and improved her movement language by training in ballet and contemporary dance.
She obtained a Diploma in Nouveau Cirque at Scuola di Teatro di Bologna Alessandra Galante Garrone (Italy,2011) and in the same year she graduated in Cinema Critics at DAMS (University of Art, Music and Show) with a grade of 98/100.
Over the years she continued to train attending workshops with great theatre masters including: Philippe Gaulier, Cal Mc Crystal(Cirque du Soleil), Mick Barnfather, John Wright (Told by an idiot) Nola Rae, Angela DeCastro, Philip Burgers (Dr. Brown), Marcello Magni (Complicité), Avner the eccentric, Alex Navarro.
